Az a baj, hogy a nők mást értenek figyelmességen, mint a férfiak. A nők azt, hogy nem felejtjük el a születésnapjukat. A férfiak meg azt, hogy észreveszik, ha a nőnek baja van. A nők a rosszkedvet arra használják, hogy a férfinak feladatot adjanak: fejtse meg, mi bajuk. És az sokszor kitalálhatatlan.
Alapvetően a nő azt várja el a férfitól, hogy változtassa meg az életét: amikor húszéves, vigye el az anyjától, negyvenévesen a férjétől. A nő a férfiban mindig a hátterét, a potenciált nézi, a férfi viszont csak a nőt. A nő, ha birtokon belülre kerül, azonnal meg akarja változtatni a pasit, aki viszont attól sértődik meg, ha a nő megváltozik.
Azért nehéz manapság együtt élni, mert az elmúlt száz év arról szólt, hogy éljük ki a vágyainkat. Pedig nem minden vágyat kell kiélni. Ha a lelkünk elmagányosodott beton, és végre kinőtt belőle egy gaz, nem biztos, hogy azt gondozni kell. Azon kellene dolgozni, hogy a lelkünk ne legyen elmagányosodott beton.
A férfinak azért nehéz egy nővel, mert a nő őszinteséget követel, de ha szembesül azzal, hogy illúziókra alapozta az életét, onnantól vége.

A férfi és női szerepeket ma a média sugalmazza, és a kínálatban nincsenek megélhető férfiszerepek. Csak hősök vannak, meg hazardőrök, meg batmenek meg győzikék- aprópénzért megvehető pozíciók, látszatéletek. Ez a világ nem a férfiaknak van kitalálva.

Advices for New Year. and for Christmas. and anyway.

1. Life isn't far but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every months.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to other's. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can be changed in a blink of an eye. But don't worry: God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that is not useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you it really makes you stronger.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second is up to you and noone else.

Rózsák, hernyók és pillangók.

Szépek vagytok, de üresek. Nem lehet meghalni értetek. Persze egy akármilyen járókelő az én rózsámra is azt mondhatná, hogy ugyanolyan, mint ti. Holott az az igazság, hogy ő egymaga többet ér, mint ti valamennyien, mert ő az, akit öntözgettem. Mert ő az, akire burát tettem. Mert ő az, akit szélfogó mögött óvtam. Mert róla öldöstem le a hernyókat (kivéve azt a kettőt-hármat, a lepkék miatt). Mert őt hallottam panaszkodni meg dicsekedni, sőt néha hallgatni is. Mert ő az én rózsám.
